About the Project

Dan Simpson was in-residence at Canterbury Roman Museum 2014-15. Here are current and past post about the project – poems and writing, photos and videos, and more.

Dan walked from London to Canterbury following the Roman Road from 29th September to 3rd October, visiting historical sites along the way and creating poems in response. He presented material created during this walk on Friday 3rd October at the Roman Museum in Canterbury. Details of the walk can be found here.

Dan is finishing up the next stage of the project: making more poems and turning them into a poetic walk around the Museum, and the production of a book of these poems.

This project is supported by supported by the University of Kent’s School of European Culture and Languages and Public Engagement with Research department.
